Gutted

UPDAAAAAAAATE!!!!! I FOUND It!!! There’s a way to go into the history of each draft and reload the old edit so my WHOLE blog was there and I republished it!!!!!!!!

Yayyyyy! ok WordPress you redeemed yourself but I’m still saving copies juuuuuust in case 😉

Original post:

Fam. I don’t know what happened.

My last post “EDS and all things Zebra” was published in 2023. Even though it was published, it wasn’t in the published section behind the scenes. It was located in drafts for some reason and it wasn’t even the finished one. It was just a draft full of quotes and that was it.

When I saw it, I was like oh well, I don’t need this draft so I simply press the back button and it only gave me the option to keep editing, discard or update so like most other places when you click update even though you haven’t done anything it just simply saves it – AS A DRAFT- and you go about your day .

Not this time. It deleted my entire post altogether and moved all my comments over to the very incomplete draft. PLEASE someone help me make this make sense.

Apparently, I had not saved a copy of it offline like a dummy (and will now be writing my blogs offline so I always have a saved copy). I would honestly leave WordPress over this bc that’s completely unacceptable but I’ve put too much time money and energy into this site. But honestly? We’ll see. I’ll let you know if I move.

If you have any tips on recovering that blog post, please do not hesitate to let me know or if you have any suggestions of a better site to blog on, I’m all ears.

Ugh. So gutted. 💔
